What’s happening in the West??
Well besides the fantastic way of life, beautiful scenery and highly sought after life style!!!! There is a lot of recruitment going on.......
Over in the West of Ireland there is certainly a lot of recruitment going on at the moment, while we certainly are not back to pre recession days, there is definitely a lot of jobs out there and worth keeping an eye on.
One of the main areas I am recruiting for right now is in the electronics sector both at a software and hardware level. It looks like there is a shortage of these skills in the West of Ireland; I am looking all over Ireland as well as into the UK, Europe and beyond. Anyone with strong embedded development skills, DSP, Image processing, Hardware design, electronic design etc is all urgently needed.
As well as the electronics industry, I am also looking at the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors, although not as busy as over the past 12-18 months, the medical device sector is still recruiting. Here we are ideally focusing on Manufacturing and Quality engineers with specialities on the NPI [New production Introduction side], Six sigma, Lean, compliance, Regulatory affairs etc.
