Title: Door to Door Fundraiser
Location: Major cities and towns in Ireland
Reporting to: Individual Fundraising Manager in Dublin, High Street, Christchurch
Type of Contract: 2 year Contract
Full Time/Part Time: Flexible - 10 to 40 hours / week scheduled between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. any day of the week including weekends
Role Overview
Focus Ireland is currently seeking enthusiastic, hardworking salespeople to join our Individual Donor Fundraising Team working around the country recruiting members of the public to sign up to a regular monthly donation by Direct Debit. This is to raise awareness about the work of Focus Ireland and fund our activities nationally to end long-term homelessness in Ireland.
The role provides opportunities to develop your sales, marketing, communication and customer care skills within the overall Fundraising and Marketing Division. Reporting to the National Sales Team Leader, you will be required to work in the Dublin area and throughout the country. Training will be provided and you will be paid a variable rate of pay starting at €10 per hour subject to performance to target.
Key Responsibilities
- To generate leads, follow up potential donors and convert to committed donors on a daily basis
- Recruit potential donors through a variety of sales strategies i.e. door to door, street selling and cold calling
- To raise awareness about our work by informing potential donors about homelessness and the solutions being delivered by Focus Ireland.
- Ability to meet deadlines & achieve personal and team targets within a fast-paced environment
- To report daily to team leader on KPIs & sales achievements.
- Develop relationships with the donor base
- Build, maintain and update the Focus Ireland donor database
- Attend regular meetings or briefings as required
- Undertake any other relevant tasks requested by the National Sales Team Leader
- Work within the framework of the overall objectives of Focus Ireland.
Criteria - Direct Sales Representative
- Excellent communication, social and people skills
- Strong negotiating skills
- Highly energetic, target driven, self -starter who excels in a direct sales environment
- Ability to work in a team based environment
- Positive Attitude with a commitment and passion for the work of Focus Ireland
- Target Driven and Self Motivated with strong negotiation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and work under pressure
- Sales and Fundraising Experience desirable however full training will be provided
- Strong PC skills with experience with Databases
- To portray a professional image at all times
