Job description:
CPL Cork has been retained by one of their key clients to partner in the sourcing and selection of a EHS Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support and coordination in defining and implementing site S&E systems for commercialization. This entails guiding and directing site support efforts, communicating to the site S&E council, staff and sub groups and providing/obtaining site S&E inputs where required.
  • Leading the site in developing plans to ensure compliance with the corporate EHS management system roll out strategy.

  • Co-ordinating the operationalising of the site EHS Management Systems

  • Leading the management of the site emergency management and fire protection programmes (including interaction with Site Security).

  • Managing the department business/administration systems, the site EHS metrics and monthly look ahead systems, and leading/coordinating the site EHS training programme.

  • Monitoring performance of the site S&E programmes, progress of continuous improvement initiatives and assigned projects. Ensuring alignment between the safety and environmental sections of the department, including sharing of best practices and coordination on related issues.

  • Providing technical support and expertise to site safety & environmental compliance issues.


  • Assist in the timely response to audit recommendations, following discussions with the stakeholders on implementation timeline

Candidate Requirements
Technical skills:

  • Primary degree in health and safety or other appropriate science discipline
  • 5-10 years previous experience in similar pharmaceutical work environment
  • Proven leadership ability
