Head of Clinical Care, Aged Care North London
In partnership with its client, Cpl Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Head of Clinical Care and Quality for a permanent role based in a leading North London Facility.
The Client
Our client is a leading aged care facility with a 56 bed state of the art care home facility and 3 separate residential care homes in North London. They provide a stimulating home from home environment with a dedicated nursing and healthcare team, offering support and companionship to improve the overall well being of their residents.
Job Responsibilities
· The Successful candidate will be required to work in conjunction with the Care Home Managers under the supervision of the Operations Manager ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained
· Responsible for implementing policies to ensure the professional development of nursing staff
· Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff within the organisation in all clinical care
· Take the lead in quality and governance issues for the organisation
· Assist in the development of policies and procedures
· Act as company representative, promoting the company image ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
· Liaising with the Marketing Manager to ensure full bed occupancy.
· To ensure the care and welfare of residents is always delivered to the highest standards
Essential criteria
· Active NMC registration, compliance with NMC codes
· Understanding of the commissioning and funding of care
· Knowledge of clinical governance, risk management and associated control mechanisms
· 18 months experience in nurse management essential
· Experienced in change management
· Ability to prepare reports, analyse data for directors and external investigators
· Proven ability of delivering under tight timeframes set objectives and achieving key organisational targets
· Experience of developing new teams, services and systems
· Experience of processes and reporting structures including employment law and regulatory issues
· Very strong knowledge of Care Quality Commission Guidelines
