- Can demonstrate proven experience with the Tivoli Netcool Omnibus version 7.x software
(including administration and configuration of ObjectServers in an N-tier configuration,
ObjectServer failover configuration,
can configure gateways,
configuration of Netcool probes especially MTTRAPD, SMTP and socket,
NCO process control including UNIX run control scripts,
ObjectServer customisation - ObjectServer table customisation, triggers, automation)
- Can demonstrate strong source code management skills.
- Can demonstrate strong Perl and Shell Programming / API Development
- Can demonstrate excellent Netcool probe rules file development skills.
- Sybase or Transactional SQL knowledge - Oracle SQL also an advantage
- Strong UNIX experience (preferably AIX)
- Has understanding of the TCP and UDP Protocols
- Has Experience implementing and testing distributed applications for monitoring telecoms and IP networks
- Has experience with large scale distributed systems
- Has experience of ITMv6.2 monitoring software including EIF integration to Tivoli Netcool.
- Is familiar with the Remedy ARS gateway for Netcool.
- Good working knowledge of Windows OS administration.
