Responsible for the day to day support, MS Windows server systems administration, maintenance and upgrade of server operating systems. Additionally there is a requirement to provide day to day support to user queries and customer advice.
Mandatory Skills:
• Experience at least 2 years MS Windows NT/2000/2003 administration in corporate environment
• Microsoft Certified Professional (or higher)
• Performance Monitoring & Analysis
• Problem Determination & Analysis skills – high level
• Must have excellent team working skills balanced with ability to work alone and a positive attitude
• Backup and Recovery strategies
• Security strategies
• Cluster services maintenance
• Sites and Domain policies
• Server installation and server configuration
• Problem resolution
• Change implementation
• Good general IT literacy
• Problem and change management tools usage
• Good communication and documentation skills
Desirable Skills:
• HW (IBM, HP, COMPAQ, DELL)
• IBM Tivoli (monitoring and storage)
• Citrix terminal services
• Oracle DB
• Veritas BackupExec/NetBackup, ARCserve
